I designed Night Owl for my packaging class at George Brown College. It was a packaging semifinalist at the 2015 Adobe Design Achievement Awards.
The objective was to design and label a 4-pack case for a new brand of alcoholic beverage. The design is inspired by British folklore and the Prohibition Era, and has a premium feel using metallic finishes on labels and a heavy-duty carrying case with a strong plastic handle for added comfort.
Night Owl has a dark, edgy theme that appeals to a young, male audience, and is titled after a play on words that appeals to the kind of person who would describe themselves as such.
The target audience was men ages 19-25, and the deliverables were a beer bottle label, neck, and cap, and a 4-pack carrying case.
